Electrical Engineers are graduates of Bachelor’s/ College Degree in Engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechatronic/ Electromechanical) or equivalent with the necessary licenses and/ or Apprentice Certified Genset Electrician. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is preferred.
- Good knowledge of diesel or natural gas engine, panels, wirings, engine theory, structure, failure analysis and repairing
- Ability to read and interpret engine catalog and maintenance manual, electrical diagrams
- Dexterity to use engine diagnostic tools
- Knowledgeable in maintenance of heavy equipment
- Familiarity in using basic measuring devices and tools
- Proficiency in MS Office applications

The tuition fee in private colleges and universities for BS in Electrical Engineering course or equivalent ranges from P32,000 – P49,000 per semester while SUCs offer courses free of tuition or minimal fees from P10,000 – P11,000 per semester.
